“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of InfluenceCentral and Kangu. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
My daughter has vision struggles and we frequent pediatric ophthalmologists offices. When my little guys get sick, we stop at the pediatricians right down the street. The colorful walls and smiles of highly trained professionals greet us. For each birth of my 3 children, I had excellent prenatal care and a clean birth facility equipped with the latest motoring devices.
In fact, I am always saying how blessed we are to have access to amazing health care systems. There are many women and children around the world who are not given these same opportunities. In fact, every day, 800 women – nearly 300,000 every year – die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth; 99% of these deaths occur in developing countries.
Help us in funding a safe birth for Betty
What is Kangu?
Kangu is a non-profit organization with a big dream: that every woman in the world has a safe birth. It is a crowd funding platform that helps connect families with expecting Moms in areas of need around the world. Meaning, people like YOU and ME work together to fund safe births with as little as a $10.00 donation. These donations help provide healthcare services (before, during and after delivery) that have been proven to save the lives of mamas and their newborn babies.

Why Kangu?
Here’s the thing, there are a lot of really great non-profit organizations out there that are helping others. I like that Kangu is all about families helping other families receive health care services that can make a huge difference in the lives of both mom and babies.
Here at The Educator’s Spin On It, we talk often about Raising Global Kids, it is organizations such as Kangu that help us realize that the world is much more similar than different. With social media, we are even more globally connected than ever before.
We all want the best for our kids.
We all want to deliver healthy babies that grow into happy children.
When I look at the pictures of these moms, I see just that – moms.
Moms who want the best for their children.
Although we have never met, I get it.
I’m a mom too.
Give What You Give Best
The gift of time and expertise. My cousin graduated nursing school and spent her next two years serving families in rural Guatemala. She came back a changed person, with stories of respiratory infections, parasites, and lack of access to basic health care.
I can only imagine how much her service meant to the families she worked with and I am thankful that she was able to do so.
The gift of money. With three kids in my home, no medical training, and a writing career, time is something I’m lacking. When I do find an organization that I believe in, I think about how I can best help. Sometimes, it is all about the money.
With this organization, with as little as $10, you can help support a mom.
Of course, you can pick any mom you’d like, but I would REALLY, REALLY like to see our community fund access to health care for Betty and her April 9th due date.
Join ME in helping other moms!
